W.I.P #143 (Animated) - AHOY!!!

ahoy, got the first animated wip for this ready to share. wanted to get this out sooner but i decided it be best to take a break from animatin’ for a day, seein’ as i was startin’ to feel a bit burnt out. that bein’ said, i be feelin’ recharged and ready to get back on that ol' grindstone.

a good portion o’ the main sequence be animated - minus the face (a few seconds got some animatin', mainly the beginning though there be no blinkin') and a handful o’ tweaks (shiftin’ poses a smidge mid-animation to make it look more natural, dynamic, expressive — that sort o’ thing). but so far, things be sailin’ smooth seas! i’ve got the physics figured out - though viewport renders be suddenly makin’ the cloth sim bug out on me (mayhaps it’s that blasted new blender update), so i had to leave it outta this here preview. aside from that wee hiccup, the physics do be lookin’ solid as a treasure chest full o’ doubloons (ye’ll have to take me word for now, tis all i can offer till i wrap me head round this damnable puzzle), so that’s all fine and dandy.

the endin’s a bit abrupt at the moment, aye, but i do plan to carve out a proper endin’ once the rest of the animation be seaworthy. if all goes well, i’d surely like to whip up a POV alt for this, and an ADDITIONAL alt — since, well, she’s got The Shaft™, and I MIGHT AS WELL hoist it high and proud....... all in all, shouldn’t be too much toil to get the bulk of it done — so i’ll be back in a few days with the next update which i reckon'll have the majority of the finished animation :]

i'll cut the piratespeak for this last bit since it doesn't relate to this project. the script for the loona skit's finished up and ready to go, just gotta get the VA for it and prepare a few basic assets (nothing too fancy, just importing an old fan favorite character that totally lit everyone's heart up last year in his first (and only) appearance).
i am gonna say, for transparency's sake, that skit's definitely not gonna be ready by this sunday since it's another rather lengthy one and i'd rather not rush it out for the sake of getting it out (and i'm also gonna be heading back up to the mountains on saturday for just a few days (like 3 tops) - so progress might slow down slightly, though i am bringing my PC up with me as per usual, so i'll still be getting work done, rest assured). if i had to throw out an estimate - i'd say the skit should be ready by next sunday since that should give me just enough time to work on it while also sticking to my usual sunday upload shedule.
