W.I.P #133 (Animated) - Maliketh

well damn - i done went and made it almost twice as long. im definitely gonna pay the price for that when it comes time to render this

although my perfectionism is screaming at me over certain parts of this, i decided to just suck it up for now and share what i've got regardless (with how i went about animating this, things got pretty disorganized, so making adjustments is a really touchy process). i ended up having some issues with a bunch of keyframes getting messed up due to this, so i had to redo quite a bit of the existing animation (mainly in the second half). though i feel like i cleaned it up fairly well, given the complications, so that's somewhat reassuring. that being said, i'm pretty happy with how it's looking and polishing/finishing it up shouldn't be very difficult to do

anyhow, this should pretty much be the whole animation - minus the lighting, background, and usual polish/additions. likely gonna make a few more adjustments to whatever sticks out to me as needing it (mostly stuff in the second half) - then i'll get to work on setting up the scene and lighting. the scene itself is probably gonna be a bit of a pain to tackle, as there's not really many pre-existing assets that mirror maliketh's arena (or really any of farum azula) very closely - so i'm probably gonna need to do a decent bit of it from scratch (just enough to fill in the shot - so it's not really that much work)

so with that in mind, i'm gonna be aiming to have this ready to render by tomorrow night and (hopefully - given the 900+ frames it'll definitely take a while to finish rendering) have it ready to share with you guys the following morning! i'll be sure to let you guys know if anything comes up, but for now you can expect a monday release for this, tuesday at the latest :] till then, enjoy the preview and thank you as always for your continued support!
