A character overview of Starlight Brew

🏷️Basics
Born with deformities, her abusive mother tried to 'fix' her, through the process Star Fume lost her wings and much of her lower face, leading her to hide behind a mask. Her only comfort came from her sickly father, who named her “Starlight Brew” as a symbol of love before he passed away. Following her father's wishes and becoming a Pharmacist, Starlight continues her private practice of occult medicine on the side as she dreams of a magical cure for her deformities, not for vanity or fame, but to feel whole enough for love and a sense of normalcy.

Likes & Dislikes
Starlight is passionate about the occult, books, legends, decorations, and especially brewing her own magical potions. She also enjoys yoga, drawing and taking short ventures into the forests to collect herbs. As unique as her interests are, so are her dislikes... eating. With her facial injuries, the process is uncomfortable, messy and an awful reminder of what she is.

Strength & Weaknesses
Starlight is remarkably skilled in her field. She has a deep understanding of pharmaceuticals and a near-expert grasp of herbs and potion making. She remains level-headed in crises and rarely panics under pressure, as long as she’s working alone. Starlight becomes easily overwhelmed in groups, she often shuts down or goes completely nonverbal when stressed or emotionally cornered. The trauma of her past has left deep insecurities, especially about her appearance, and they haunt her interactions with the world.

Personality & Value
Starlight, understandably, places immense value on personal boundaries, privacy, and sincerity. Her kindness is understated, found in gentle gestures, thoughtful potions, and the comfort she tries to give herself in small, daily rituals. Though she tells herself she doesn’t need anyone, part of her still dreams of a loving connection, while she doesn't expect miracles, she still clings to the hope that something magical, or someone kind, might someday help her feel whole again.

Omen killed her own family to join her first raiders group. Bringing their heads in a sack.

• Starlight always carries a small pouch of dried herbs, even when not brewing. (snacks!)

• She has a pet snake and she named her Corn!

• Despite her occult interests, she’s very strict about pharmacy regulations at work.

• She owns over a dozen identical face masks and washes them obsessively.

• She sometimes forgets how disfigured she looks without the mask, only to be startled by her reflection.

• Her favorite book is a trashy romance novel with a potion-brewing heroine and a cursed prince.

• She was never a strong flyer and never once missed the sensation of flight.

Creator Notes 
I hope you guys had fun reading up on who Starlight is! She's an old OC that I occasionally use for role-play! Though she doesn't have that much of an appearance in art form / stories lately, and while she's not as popular or well loved/known compared to my other characters, she still has a special seat in my roster!
