Progress report Nov 30th 2020
Added 2020-12-01 04:44:35 +0000 UTCHello everyone, today, I would like to focus on how project is on going.
Here's the original project blueprint :

This was blue print that I was planed on beginning of this year, and I failed really hard on following this plan. So let's just scrap this paper X_X
Q : Why did you failed so hard?
A: Because project gotten so much bigger than I expected.
My original plan was make only 4 zombies and one dead bringer, and making couple adventurers, but unlike what I planed, The result - game was really really terribly boring with just 4 monsters. X_X
It was my big mistake from beginning, because I was underestimate the top view shooter.
Unlike Anthophobia, Player can move freely on every direction. Which is mean regular dumbe zombies won't be threat to player and that made game super boring.
....So i had to add more feature to make it more interesting.
That's how Hydra and Screamer was born.
and I think I still need at least two more monsters to make game more interesting tho... X_X
Q: so how's project progress right now?
A: here's the current state of project progress :

Main problem is monsters.
it's game, You need lot of sandbags to beat for make fun game.
It's sad I'm still couldn't finish a single H animation set because of it. X_X
Anyway, back to the report :
1. GUI icons for Heroine caring function :

When player interact with Heroine, following icon will show up
and when player select the icon, slime will snatch it away like this :

2. Boss monster HP bar :

3. Warning mark :

When player is about to startle the Screamer / Dead bringer, Now game give player a chance react and escape from danger zone.
...and that's all for now.
I hope you enjoyed it.

They all do things seperately and sometimes together that I want from H-games though finding good animated H-games is hard due to the work it requires. There are other games which do the same but those games are similar enough to what your aiming for here to mention (top down dungeon explorer). Anyway the fact you did a great job on making a animated H-game is why I am happy that I found your circle as you've been open about what's been going on while also putting together Anathobia which for me was really good for what it set out to do. I was looking forward to Predation however I've lost a bit of trust for them as they advertised their 0.1.0 release as 1.0 which composed of one level that massively changed between patreon and public release so much that it feels like they haven't nailed down the basics of their game still to get it all flowing well together. (other games have done this but that's just the latest example, I do plan to keep an eye on it though) Meanwhile your development plans are shown and change when needed while focusing on what is needed to bring it together (objective, route, obstacles) as your test-demos were great although they weren't the game as they showed off what was new and needed to be tested to gain the feedback for them.

2020-12-01 09:06:15 +0000 UTCI agree with David on this quite a bit and so I honestly find it a bit surprising you initally thought would make it a complete and full game. This is due to the same reasons you have found plus looking at other games that attempt the same thing with the lack of variety and equal time and quality across the entire thing. E.G: As you progress in the game same enemies from first few levels are reused a ton while nothing new is produced and levels get simpler due to lack of time to release and gain funds. All of these leading to turn me off from the games although they sounded like good games on paper. What I recommend is you do is maybe gain more infomation on games similar to what your trying to create and what makes them fun while not losing their sex aspect. A few that come to my mind are (all are on DLsite): "Wings of Roldea" made by "Waterspoon" who has been making similar games for a while. Any game made by "Acid Style" with "Explorer of the Golden Planet" being their best so far in my book. Any of "Neko no Meme" games. "Monotool" 's "Nekobato" games while short are very good. Finally "Witch girl STG". Actually through thinking of games similar to what you are doing in quality AND on a full game scale, I am coming up with not many as I have found most to be very short (like a demo) or to be sacrificing parts of itself to make itself longer. So what your attempting to make could show what can be done but only if you are sure you can do it and don't over do it. This is not a small project currently but I am very interested in it so please take your time with it.

2020-12-01 08:37:25 +0000 UTCThank you David GB, I'll do my best to make the best outcome! When I make Anthphobia, I've received many feedbacks about lack of weapon variety and that bothered me lot because it was true. so I'm trying to make many weapons this time.

2020-12-01 06:38:49 +0000 UTCUpon hearing the size of the setting I couldn't help but think it would be a ton of work. Details and monsters for four floors would be a vast amount of work. Take your time and keep on going. ๐ I do love the setting and lore though, very interesting.
