dropping a little suprise episode for ya inbetween. It's been a while since we talked about the war in Ukraine and its wide-reaching implications on Europe and the United States. This time I was lucky enough to be joined by someone on the ground in Ukraine who is able to offer a whole different perspective on this war. More of a conversation than an interview, we got into how the war has changed, wether Europe can hold on to sanctions in the face of a mounting energy crises, the role of NATO, Amensty International's Report on the conduct of Ukrainian forces and much, much more.

I worry that the primary mechanism of diplomacy that the west knows is violence and is increasingly incompetent on the terrain of ideology, domestically and abroad. Russia has been undermining the west from within; how come vice-versa has not been effective? Has the west forgotten how to propaganda?
