He didn't get killed because he was a minor and no consent was given, he got killed because the skinner was following Deb. And actually if the parents gave consent on the day Debra asked, she never would've had to follow Wendell to his home where the skinner could see her talking to him. The only one to blame here is the skinner. Debra didn't know people she talks to were targeted yet, I'm sure she would've been a lot more careful with Wendell if she knew, same way she tried to protect Anton later on.

Idk maybe she couldn't say anything, but she blurted it out like it was nothing at the end which makes me think it wasn't all that confidential. Especially if Debras cooperation was necessary

Talking to Debra was a direct result of Wendell's death as a parent I would be livid and sue the police .. Love Deb but she was wrong af for that one.
