Don't most horror movies kill the dog at some point? Did the dog survive?
I remember seeing the 1978 version when it first came out. The audience was pretty grossed out seeing the zombies ripping flesh with their teeth. The zombie coloring was a little weird but it was a very memorable movie. Tom Savini and Ken Foree (the religious guy on TV screen) were both in the 78 version as well.

Yes that’s the same Heather Langenkamp. She & her husband run AFX Studio where she has worked as a special make-up effects coordinator. She also worked on The Cabin in the Woods.

Have you seen Zack Snyders other zombie movies “Army of the dead” and “Army of Thieves”? I loved them both.

So to be perfectly honest, I'm not as much of a fan of this film as I am films like Train to Busan, Rec, and 28 Days Later. I feel, like in those movies, there's a lot more dramatic effect and even more scare. This film feels more like just a fun kick-ass gore flick. In any case, good reaction. :)
