I still remember watching this for the first time when it first aired on TV. Kept telling my parents afterwards that we needed to shave my little brother's head. Damien: Omen II is my favorite of the sequels and has my favorite horror movie death scene in it. Didn't care much for the other two sequels or the remake.

I would definitely say this movie adds to the classic horror movie list. Perhaps "Rosemary's Baby (1968)" or "The Birds (1963)" or "Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)" or "The Changeling (1980)" is in the future? :) ;)

2024-04-04 00:27:35 +0000 UTCGreat reaction to one of my favorite horror movies. Definitely recommend watching Damien omen 2. Omen 3 is worth watching to finish the trilogy it it’s my least favorite. Omen 2 is actually my favorite. The remake from 2006 is a shot for shot remake of the one you just watched. I’m a skeptic, atheist etc but if you research the incidents that happened during production of the omen it’s rather amazing. You could make a movie about what happened when they were making the omen. Here’s a documentary about it: everything from multiple plane crashes, multiple lightning strikes, a lion killing somebody, and an actual beheadeding of a crew member outside the city of Oman in Jordan. https://youtu.be/DU2Y_9OVVMc?si=VBYbwAov2hsOko8U

We only heard him say, “It’s mother was a Jack …” What he said was its mother was a Jackal. In other words, a dog. That’s why they found the skeleton of a dog in the grave of its mother.
