I wanted to draw a pic of a bunch of zebras bullying a lion, so here you go.
While I was working on this pic, I realized that 'African animals' might be a good theme for the next image series. I'd like to do another one since I finished The Daily Grind, and I think I'd also like to take a bit of a break from drawing Pulsar. (I mean, I'll still draw him obviously, but not quite so regularly as that series had me drawing him.) I think doing a bunch of scenes with African mammals would be really fun and hot. I need to come up with a good title for it though. Any suggestions?
On the technical side, I think I'm going to do this series in this style. It's kind of a hybrid style for me, basically with an inked illustration base, but then rather than the cel shaded style of coloring I'm doing painting. I've done a few pics like this in the past but never really stuck to it. Which is kind of a shame because I think it looks pretty good. It combines the speed of cel shading with the painterly look of digital painting, but without having to worry about all that pesky edge control because the lines handle most of that. Anyway it's a slightly different style but I hope you like it.
