Southport Gold Coast 1954 – Update Notes
A small but hopefully noticeable update today, mainly focused on shader fixes, some polish, and a bit of an experiment with ambient sound.

Changelog:
Re-implemented the PURE Terrain shader now that the previous CSP issues have been resolved. This had actually been fixed for months now, but I've only just got around to adding it back in to this track.
Fixed some double-sided materials that weren’t rendering properly
Added a few CSP 3D trees in certain spots
Tweaked shaders on the older non-CSP 3D trees (2D trees are unchanged)
Added ground fog behaviour: denser in the dips, lighter on the crests, for use with PURE fog weather.
Reduced brightness of interior building lights at night
Switched to a different rendering method for hay bale textures for a softer look
Experimental feature – Australian Waterside Birdsong:
I’ve added a 2-minute ambient loop of local bird sounds, based on the idea that the area would still have been full of wildlife in the 1950s. This is experimental, so any feedback is welcome:
Does the loop feel obvious, is 2 minutes too short? Also, is it too loud? I think I have it balanced so you can't really hear it over an engine roar. But I am interested in how other peoples audio set ups have it working.
If people like the idea, I’ll refine it further for future builds. I'd like to add in pit lane ambience for some of my tracks, you know a bit of hustle and bustle. So if anybody is at a track day and could put there phone on a wall or something, and just record 2 minutes of 'nothing' and send it my way, I'd be really greatful!
you can hear a sample of the birdsong here. At the end of the video the Vanwall drives away, so you get an idea of the audio levels.
