Originally released in 2021 as a commissioned project, I’ve gone back and made some hefty updates to the Circuit of the Northwest. My skills have improved quite a bit over the past few years, so it felt like the right time to bring this one up to standard.
Please note: If you have the old version of the track installed, I suggest removing it entirely before installing this new one.

The change list is long. Let’s get into it:
Removed old 2D and 3D crowds
Fixed doubled-up white lines in some areas
Fixed bumpy seams in the track
Smoothed final corner exit
Adjusted T4 / T5 slightly
Removed old gravel decals
New terrain material
New road material
Removed old kerbs entirely, added new much better ones around all track surfaces.
Added loads of new trees
Replaced old concrete walls with new ones
Replaced old tyre skid marks with better-quality versions
Added 3D rubber marbles
Added some 3D trees
Added 3D window effect to trackside glass buildings
Added camera-facing crowds
New light poles and night lighting
RainFX updated
GrassFX updated
Split terrain mesh for textured and physical runoffs
Track edge textures applied to main layout (side routes to follow)
Repositioned start gantry, added start/finish lights
Replaced white and green marshal posts with orange wall breaks
Added LED flags
New replay cameras for main layout
New VAO patch for both layouts
Still a little rough around the edges in spots, but since the real track isn’t finished yet either, this feels like a solid stopping point for now.
Enjoy.
