Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024 v2

The previous update was about improving the looks and aesthetics of Vegas itself. This one has concentrated far more on the track, and the scenerey closer to it. Making it more accurate to real life references.

Fixes - the bumps where the tyre marbles were.

Slow Performance? The track is really heavy with lots of textures and lighting effects. Optimising it is a slow process, especially just for one person to do. There's a 'LOW' settings option located in, \common\assettocorsa\content\tracks\lasvegas23\extension\GRAPHICS OPTIONS

Activiating this turns off some of the effects and can gain 10 - 20 FPS depending on your machine.

Almost all of the purpose built sections, t1,2,3, and the section around the sphere have been rebuilt to follow the layout of the real world track, based on newly available satelite imagery.

All sponsor positions from 2023 are now represented, along every wall around the track.

New pit and grandstand buildings are on the s/f straight.

New AI and Cams to accomodate the new layout.

New VAO patch etc.

New Palazzo model from 3D warehouse.

Changelog:

T14,15,15 complex remade to match photo references.
Added Reverb under bridges and alongside S/F straight pits.
Fixed elevation changes at the end of the strip pre T14 and between T4/5
Added Helicopters (models from Mascot)
Recorded AI lines again.
Asphalt shader changes to make it more glossy.
T13 barrier positions tweaked.
Added spectators around the track in a ‘general admission’ sense (they’re scattered everywhere)
T16 -> T17 straight, narrowed significantly.
T9, smoothed surface
Rain FX fixes across several materials.
Start Position fixes (everyone was starting slightly to the left of their grid slot before)
Window shaders are now also reflective where relevant
Fixed spectators spawning on a random wall off T2.

Nice job! Like it! Big improvement. Tighter and slower but more realistic. Is it an options to rename the track to lasvegas24? Considering the fact that hot lap services are useless now to record track records.

I had some time this evening to try out the new version of this track. The tugging/jerking is completely gone! Also, I think that your optimization work is paying off. I tried to keep an eye on the render-stats widget while driving the track and it was holding steady around 88-90 on my system now (which is MUCH better than the previous version). I did notice two small things (and they really are small): 1) There seems to be an invisible wall in turn 1 where the end of the Heineken signs end -- it looks like you should be able to drive there but you can't. Lets not dwell on how I found that out. 2) In the same area, the Heinikin signs that you would hit if you just kept driving straight appear to be weirdly faded out. Its as if the sun was hitting them, but the signs immedately to the left and right of that strip of signs show no signs of sunlight. The in-game time was 17:00 and the weather was set to 'some clouds'. All in all, this version is a huge step forward. I'm looking forward to driving the heck out of it before the weekend.
