Hello my lovelies! 🌟 Here is the public post of this piece of Mars and Venus!
It is about time I try my hand at drawing Venus/Aphrodite, and Mars/Ares together! If you aren't familiar with the myth, Aphrodite has a husband: Hephaestus. But she has an affair with Ares, the god of war.
Since the planets they are associated with do a little dance in the sky every 2 years or so (at least that's what I've read, but I might not have that 100 percent accurate), it is possible that this movement was observed, and perhaps the myths originated from the planetary movements.
Their affair and love story is interesting to me, though, because on the surface they seem like opposites: goddess of love, vs god of war. But in Greek mythology, especially, love and passion are often what trigger conflict and wars. So it kind of makes sense!
Anyhoo, I hope you like them! There are a couple of color options for you to look at as well!
