Tim decided he wanted to see how young he could make everyone. Making them actual babies might be going too far, but he could turn them into toddlers. It would be interesting to see how the app handled such an extreme change.
Tim checked the app and reviewed the caption:

He replaced the 16 with a 2 and saved the change.
As their teacher began a lecture, the loading bar for their changes began to fill up. Tim looked around the room, searching for the first signs of their bodies getting younger. He was expecting some dramatic changes with the students losing almost all of their years of growth. Sure enough, the bar had only just started to fill when the first changes became apparent.
A boy sitting a couple of desks in front of Tim was called on to answer a question. As he spoke, his voice cracked up an octave, causing some chuckling around him as he cleared his throat. When he continued speaking, the boy’s voice sounded distinctly childish with little or no trace of puberty in it. Tim leaned to the side to get a look at the boy as he became noticeably smaller and younger, rapidly shrinking through a reverse growth spurt.
“Wow,” Tim said and gasped to hear how high pitched his own voice had become. He touched his throat to feel his Adam’s apple shrinking and slid his hand up his chin feeling no trace of beard stubble there. Although he had not intended it, he seemed to be getting younger as well. He rechecked the caption, realizing that he had made no exception for himself. As a student in the class, of course the change would apply to him. The idea of becoming barely more than a baby worried him, though, and he wondered if he should find a way to stop the change from completing.
Around him, Tim started to hear students exclaiming in shock and surprise as they became aware of their own changing bodies. There were a number of worried looking, fresh-faced boys trying to figure out why their clothes had become so loose. Some concerned girls checked their bras to figure out why they seemed so empty all of a sudden. As they fell back through their middle school years, the rate of change for the boys and girls diverged, with the boys shrinking much faster than the girls. For several awkward moments, the girls lingered in an awkward, lanky pubescence while the boys became round-faced little children. However, the girls soon caught up, losing all traces of maturity and rapidly shrinking as small as the boys. All around, empty shoes could be heard, dropping to the floor as their too-small feet lifted off the ground due to their legs becoming too short to touch it anymore.
Panic filled the room as the children regressed into kindergarteners and then preschoolers. The shrieks of frightened little children grew more intense as their pitch went higher and higher. Tim felt a similar terror as he watch his body be swollowed up by his shirt, his arms disappearing up his sleeves. He looked at his little pudgy hands in wonder, which turned to horror after realizing that he was no longer holding his phone. He looked down at the floor to find it but hesitated to climb down after realizing how high up his seat seemed at this age.
Kids were crying and wailing all around Tim. Having become too small to see over their desktops, some students were standing on their chairs. Others remained seated, while covering their faces with their little hands, trying to deny what was happening to them all. Then, just when it felt like they might disappear altogether, the regression stopped, leaving them all reduced to feeble little toddlers.
For a moment, once their rejuvenation ceased, the toddlers looked hesitantly hopeful. They were still deeply confused but no longer terrified. They dried their eyes and looked down at the clothes that they had shrunk out of, finding that their shirts were fitting them like tunics now. Then, those clothes began to shrink to fit them. Underwear puffed up and wrapped around their hips and between their legs, forming into pull-ups. Jeans and shorts crawled up their legs, followed by socks and shoes slipping onto their little feet, as if they were being dressed up by invisible hands. In moments, everyone was clothed again, but their teenager outfits had all been restyled to suit their toddler bodies. T-shirts were now decorated with cartoon characters popular in children’s programming. The toddler students examined themselves in stunned silence, trying to comprehend their changed bodies and outfits.
Next, their desks started to shrink beneath them. Seeing their perspective lowering again, the students gasped and shrieked. When they realized that it was the furniture changing this time and not their bodies, they calmed down and tried to settle into seats that fit them increasingly better. Soon, they were all comfortably seated in toddler-sized desks.
Before anyone could even start to make sense of all of these changes, a squealing tone blared from Tim’s phone, alerting him to where it had fallen. He picked it up and set the seemingly huge, unwieldy device on his desk as the sound grew louder and louder. When it reached a painful volume, a sudden flash of light blinded everyone in the room. In the silence that followed, Tim blinked and looked around the room to see his classmates sitting calmly at their desks, listening to the lecture, their round faces appearing visibly bored.
Despite the class looking like they belonged in a daycare, the content of the instruction had not changed at all. Their teacher still lectured them as if they were high school students. Tim wondered if they would still be considered high school students now at this age. What else might have changed with them?
One new thing became apparent when a girl beside him raised her hand. She had previously been an attractive young lady, fond of dressing in revealing clothing, but now, modestly covered and three feet tall, she seemed more adorable than alluring.
The teacher responded to her raised hand, and instead of asking to use the bathroom, the girl requested a diaper change. The teacher wrote her a pass and opened the door for her since the handle was above her head now. She left to get help. Tim wondered where she would go. Should he try to find out?
As the end of class approached, Tim considered doing more, such as reversing their age change or adding new changes. On the other hand, he could just keep them all like this and find out all the ways this age change had affected the school outside of this classroom.
What should he do, reverse the change or keep it?
