HOTEL LEX - FLOOR 4 (28/?)

You instinctively reach for the pocketwatch and it points in the direction you feel a pull.

You take one last look behind you at the giant cave before entering the damp hallway. You're not sure why you gravitate towards this direction, but the pocketwatch seems to agree. You feel a pounding in your heart as you continue down the way, your palms sweating slightly as you hold the bunny's hand. Your head slowly fills with thoughts that seem to come naturally. 'If all of this is abandoned, maybe you could take it all over, maybe you could find all the gold there is in these mines, maybe..'

You are so lost in thought that you don't even realize that your body has been naturally stooping down low and grabbing shiny rubble. You feel your pants sagging from the weight of random rocks you've slipped into your pockets. You slug your way through the caverns carrying your bounty. The density of gold and glittering stones and objects increasing. The bunny is forced to drag you along as you try to scoop it all up with your arms.

"I-I-I get you want to take it w-with you, but w-we can't keep slowing down!" the bunny exclaims.

You apologize while picking up a golden coin. You aren't focused on the path anymore, more on trying to make sure you don't drop anything. The bunny's footsteps click and clack as he steps over mounds of buried treasure. At some point, he turns around and looks at you, "A-are you sure this is the right way?"

You shrug, slowly forgetting why you were on this journey. And then he brings you into a room, a very large room. Your torches reveal a space littered with all kinds of treasure. Your mouth drops as so does everything in your arms. You dive into a nearby pile of loose change and your heart flutters. 'Just stay here,' a thought appears, 'why go anywhere if you can build an empire here?"
