HOTEL LEX - FLOOR 4 (13/?)

You take the bunny's hand and hold it tightly. You tell him that no matter what, he can stay behind you and by your side. He looks at you and nervously adjusts his glasses. He mutters, "I-I d-don't really do well with g-g-ghosts.."

The cat's grin widens and floats up as if tied by balloons. He peers down at the both of you and fades into the fog. You walk in front and take a confident posture. You knock on the door and it creaks open. Though it was already open, you hope by being polite will leave a good impression on whoever or whatever is inside. You walk in and you feel a brief feeling of relief from the gusts of wind. You shiver stepping into the abandon building. You peer into what probably was once a cozy space. Now, before you, you see broken furniture with a fireplace that has forgotten the feeling of warmth. You hear a sound that closely resembles a deep sigh and you freeze. You feel the bunny's paw tighten his grip on your hand. You gulp as you decide what your next move is. The first floor has a table with some papers and shattered glass on top it. No chairs remain fully intact surrounding the table. Against the wall, a small window peeks over a workbench with some metal tools. Against the wall hangs torch holders that have been extinguished, the wood rotting and falling apart. You spot possible useful things before you but you realize your time in here is very limited. The longer you stay, the colder it seems to get even though no winds blow your way.

You spot a spiral staircase behind a cobblestone wall. On the opposite side of the space, you see a trapdoor peeking from under a rug. Both your feet are frozen in place.
