2025-06-05 05:44:35 +0000 UTCI always like when they cut to a civilian perspective. As hard as things are for our main cast civilian life aboard the fleet SUCKS. Cramped conditions, little food, zero ability to fight back against constant threats. The fact Romo's *entire payment* for the Baltar trial was a small cabin with a tiny porthole shows how bad things are for most people. I also like the subtle telegraphs that the cat isn't real. Right from the beginning it disappears from next to Romo when we cut away from his perspective. Several times it's shot with a slightly blurry filter. Lee comments on the always-empty food bowl and asks where Lance is when Romo sees him in plain sight. And finally Romo picks up the cat carrier and says "come on" when we saw him talking to Lance outside the carrier a split second before.
