I love this episode. All the characters are flawed with their own prejudices but I like it shows how Tigh and Adama are honorable and able to admit when they've made a mistake. We've seen that with Adama more, but Tigh has always come across as just an angry old man stuck in his ways, but we see he's more than that. Tigh's my favorite character in the show for a lot of reasons. How flawed he is but still trying to do the right thing is part of it. Sure, he went off the rails after New Caprica, but that's not unexpected after what he went through and he was able to come back. He seemed like such a simple one dimensional character in the mini-series, but we see he's far more complex than we originally thought.

"He needs help!" "Yeah, and we should've given it to him." Dammit Tigh, how do you manage to be SUCH a jackass and yet still come off so awesome at the end.

Jonathan

When he's not straight murdering people. 😂

Troy Convers

But you ARE strating Blackadder?!?!?!?😄😄 (This is a first for me, I'm so excited!!! )

Ashtara Levin

Once again, Helo being the best goddamn character of the entire show

Ashtara Levin

Short-ish? So Baldrick then? 😁

Troy Convers

The reason for all the setup in the previouslies is that this episode is the orphaned reminant of the plot arc that was supposed to run through the season but just wasn't working. It was gonna be a big thing to do with the Saggitarons and the 14 months on New Caprica, but they jettisoned it, hence all the random out of place racism and Helo just being plopped into the job out of nowhere. TBH, this is probably the most skippable episode of the whole show, even if it's a good examination of Helo's character.

Nolan

Nope! Something short-ish is happening before it!

Time Lord

Are we getting.... Blackadder tomorrow?

Troy Convers

An (almost) clever title for a fairly standard pot boiler 'police procedural', which was meant to lead into a scrapped storyline between the Sagittarians and Baltars trial. The Sagittarians seem to be an analogy for Kurds or Romanys judging by the way they're given short shrift, but we don't really see that fleshed out, as instead the episode pivots into a vehicle for Agathon, the so-called moral compass (snigger) of the show, a man that only decides to do the right thing when he has skin in the game, like when he decided to stop the virus being released against the Cylons when his Cylon wife squeezed his cojones. Let's not forget that he war crimed five people that day. Here, he only goes out on a limb after Dee, his friend, falls into the clutches of the Caprican Dr Death. Up to that point its all moral posturing and sneaking around offices and yes, he is right and yes, the bad guy is exposed, but would he have intervened otherwise? Eh, who knows, he's probably a toaster. Never mind, we have a Tyrol episode coming up; a man who WILL put his head on the block if he believes in a cause.

Troy Convers

Concept of a plan!!!! 😆

Firefly24601

So we come to it in the end. The great sidetrack of our time.

Right! The Cerritos has me stressed out ... 😉 - Kat

They sometimes used cut scenes in the "previously on" intros. I was so confused when I first watched.

Jeremy

It's nice to take a break from the stress of Lower Decks.
