California fire update!

I know there are a few people asking how we're doing and for starters, thank you so much for your concern and checking in on us! Paula is currently safe and sound with no outages or anything in her area. I'm currently dealing with no power, gas, or water. They're trying to get things situated at our apartment complex currently. We had one fire close to us that they thankfully got under control so we don't believe we'll have to worry about evacuation. Though we will absolutely be prepared for anything! Parker and I are safe and sound at another location so we can charge up all of our devices and be prepared for lack of power to continue. We are very lucky to have so many people in our lives helping keep us safe.

2025-01-09 11:26:11 +0000 UTCWe live safely north of the fires, and the wind is blowing the opposite direction, so that is not a problem. However,... I had to take a GrubHub delivery down to Sylmar just before a fire erupted there, and was stuck behind closed roads for an hour and a half trying to get back north. It is infuriating that there is a literal traffic choke point right there, with only one route northward.
