If you could maybe leave the blue off for a few more seconds after the opening credits, it would be a HUGE help. The first two episodes were originally a 2 hour premiere, and that’s how it still is for those of us owning the show. Even this episode was a little bit different for syncing up. It took a bit to line up first after the credits and again after your version of the credits. I managed ok, but some may have a harder time with it(I recommend looking for the parts with the scenes cutting between very dark and very bright to spot through the blur still), especially next week without the same extreme black to bright scenes(I’m not certain where they’ll even put the opening since I don’t have one midway. Whether they’ll have part for a cold open with some scenes first or hold the rest of the episode for after the credits, I couldn’t say). Otherwise enjoying the reaction and discussion for one of my favorite story arcs the show tackled in its run, however depressing the subject matter can be sometimes.

While I’m reticent about judging anyone forced into such a predicament, I also recognize that it can often undermine a cause and be used to drive support away by those on the other side. Or as justification to silence any moderates on that other side by any extremists happy to have any excuse to step the cruelty up a notch.

I didn't mind supporting you guys through the wait and I always knew that there would be fun extra content that I'd miss out on with my level of Patreon, but not story content! I'm very disappointed and I ask that you rethink this decision. At least when it comes to Galactica, which specifically used webisodes as mini episodes. In the future, I feel one character's motivation won't even make sense without the inclusion of that charter's webisode series very late in the show's run! I do want to add in how much I love you two! It's just a difference of opinion.

2024-10-22 21:15:59 +0000 UTCRegarding Apollo and his transformation, I am a bit split about the show's explanation for it at this point, because I don't agree with Dee about him being a fighter like his dad. I mean, yes, he technically is a fighter pilot, he is a good CAG leader and he knows how to take action when push comes to shove, but he also joined the military at a time of peace, and unlike Starbuck or Kat doesn't seem to thrive with the conflict. Apollo and Helo are the type of fighters that got in it more for the "saving" part, or the law aspect of being in the military, so to me his physical deterioration felt more to do with whatever it is that happened between him and Starbuck, back in last season's finale that made them not only literally live on too different platforms but actively avoid one another, that contributed to his depression (because that's what it is basically, it's only being presented outwardly as weight gain..)

2024-10-22 20:50:08 +0000 UTCWhenever I see EJO with a 'tasche, I just think of him as Lt Castillo; and boy, it brings out the trademark Castillo intensity in him. He's currently a polar opposite of Lee, who's basically a Mustang II to his former GT350H self. But you're right about how more ample people can still be warriors, ask any Samoan pro wrestler, like say Samoa Joe or Haku. Starbuck has gone full Dexter Morgan. She's a serial killer of a single person; very sci-fi, and her apre murder dinner etiquette speaks volumes. While the others have drawn on or abandoned their warrior instincts, she's gone to a far darker place to survive her unique torture, but it's paying its own price. And you're being way too hard on Tigh (or is it that 'Tgh' now?); resistance fighters will do anything to liberate their kind, so said kind collaborating (surprised you didn't use that word) is the worst thing you can do. And yes, I'm fully aware of what was going on IRL when this was made, but it applies to any resistance movement to an occupational force. Inter arma enim, silent leges.

But I don't think Paula should feel bad about what she said. Two things can be true at the same time. Ellen is absolutely a terrible, toxic, selfish person. But she also really does love Saul. Nothing is simple, least of all, people.
