Kat Movie React...? Let's talk Movies!

What should we do? How should I go about this? Cause I wanna watch a movie with y'all! We could do this sort of how I talked about it in the video. Or I could come back to y'all with a list of movies I haven't seen, but have been wanting to and you can vote on those. Do we keep it in theme and go for some spooky horror of some kind? (I'm always down for spooky).

So let's do this thing!

What better way to launch into spooky season than to support a horror film with one of your favorite spooky Pals!! Clink the link above and check out the story and the crew behind "Sorry, My Cat is Sick." Any and all support make a HUGE difference during this whole process. Whether it's a pledge or a simple follow of the campaign, Kat is here asking for your help and support!

Kat Movie React...? Let's talk Movies!

Comments

The Thing from the 80's.

Troy Convers

Or Hitcher.

Troy Convers

Ah good point, Cassie hasn't seen it yet.

Troy Convers

A suggestion for a non-spooky film - Black Dynamite. The subsequent animated series would be good to react to as well.

Troy Convers

Tempted to say the first Beetlejuice, or if you really want to be traumatised, Eraserhead.

Troy Convers

I second this. Mighty film, mighty soundtrack.

Troy Convers

I do wonder if you could just get away with seeing it yourself seeing Paula has seen it anyway. The concern is you are about to be spoiled majorly on that movie soon if you leave it any longer. The best comparison I can think of is seeing the making of endgame before actually seeing endgame, with practically nothing left to get surprised about. This just comes from wanting you to enjoy arguably one of the best Trek movies out there.

Malcolm Wolf

D&D: Honor Among Thieves would be great :-)

Malcolm Wolf

I believe Kat has seen Firefly

Malcolm Wolf

Yas. A spooky movie? I'm a sucker for the stop motion animation. So..... Coraline or Paranorman would be my picks. When I saw over the garden wall, I thought of those two movies. B movies are also fun too. House 2 is one of my all time favs and it doesn't require you to see the first one. I suggest watching the trailers for the movies and then putting your highest interest ones in a poll for everyone to vote on. But speaking of watch-a-longs.... are we getting to D&D: Honor Among Thieves?

Christian Rennie

If you going spooky I have to champion Evil Dead. I was named after its protagonist.

Ashley

How about some spooky season themed movies? It's that time of year.

John

Firefly followed by Serenity would be a shiny idea if Kat hasn't seen them yet.

John

I guess a list or poll would be easiest. The one movie that comes to mind is Batman Mask of the Phantasm. It fits well into spooky season and is quite well done plus we know how much you love animation.

Travis Boyle

Could you do your First Contact movie reaction with another channel, as a joint collaboration? Maybe with Popcorn in Bed?

Christopher

I'd definitely say to give us a list of things you haven't seen so we're not throwing in ideas that you wouldn't want to react to and we can vote on those!

Justin Miyashiro

Before you start Season 3 of Star Trek Lower Decks, you should check out Star Trek First Contact.

Christopher Dorn

I vote for voting from a list! (personally, I don't need spooky season themed - just something fun)

Ben Chan

Well, this one is just me while she's outta town, soooooooooo

Time Lord

Firefly ends with a movie, you can watch a scifi series followed by a movie

gobmob2000

Shaun of the Dead is a great suggestion. And the rest of the Cornetto Trilogy

Tom

I love the idea of a poll of movies you've been wanting to see. :)

Katrine Myra

Shaun of the dead is 20 this year, featuring Harriet Jones, former Prime Minster, the editor in chief of satellite 5 and father Christmas

Stephen Wray

Seconded and alien n aliens

Frank Murphy

Polls and maybe give a long list of films you've never seen?

Frank Murphy

polls are best way for sure. newer releases are a good idea as more people are likely to want to watch along and you're less likely to have seen them

GillyBean

I like the idea of doing separate polls by category; this gives the Patreons the opportunity to vote on which films you’d like to see. If I could, I’d vote for mostly something classic; either a musical comedy, drama, or even a documentary. But there were a few good films made over the past year that I’d recommend like: The Iron Claw, Horizon Part 1, and Reagan. Whatever you decide to do, Kat, is okay with me.

Christopher

Tetsuo The Iron Man!

Michelle Lyons

The Terminator 1 and 2

Tom

Im going to suggest a hybrid approach. I think a poll of movies you haven't seen but would want to react to, with an "Other (leave suggestion in the comments)" option.

Firefly24601

I’d be happy vote on a list

Kieran B

You and Paula finally watching ST First Contact lol

BazT47

Split Second, with Rutger Hauer

Brian Pickering

Tremors !

Gray

I absolutely recommend It (both Chapters one and two).
