Dana Delaney is a powerhouse. They knew to aim high casting this pivotal one-off character. (unless, of course she's a Cylon and we'll see her again....)

I agree with John -- why say anything about a future episode? Just wait a frakkin week to give your opinion on it.

I guess it's pointless now since the spoiler is everywhere. But confirming that Billy is dead / leaving the show is a spoiler...

Revealing a character's first name is a spoiler? Next you'll be telling me that saying Lee's full first name is Leland is a spoiler! And anyway, Dee's first name is Anastasia; Dualla is her surname.

Dualla's whole name was revealed during Final Cut in a title card during her interview with Biers.

A couple years after leaving BSG, Paul Campbell would play another character named Billy on Knight Rider (2008-2009) with a very similar personality.

Is it perhaps about Dee's first name? While they have not yet said it on the show, her full name (including her first name) is on the list of characters that has been provided for the Gals [which is always getting updated].

Starbuck started shooting because she knew her cover was blown when Ellen recognized her and they said to check her toolbox again.

Is that 'what's her face?'
Yes. Definitely 'what's her face.'

Why even say that? Now they'll go into the episode expecting it to suck. How about letting them experience the episodes without any preconceived ideas?

I felt seen after my complaints about "Kat" last week. lol
I do love "our" Kat though. And Paula.
I also find it fun that every show we're watching with Kat (and Paula) has a character called Kat/Cat, or who is a Cat. There's definitely a not so subtle Kitty theme under the surface of this channel right now.
But yeah I love this episode, even if apart from Billys death it is a bit filler. It's horrible to see Billy go though. He was too pure for this show.
Looking forward to the next few weeks. Some great episodes coming up and things begin to pick up again.

Did Moffat get ideas about killing everyone off and make Rory be Lee?

Ron Moore has said they had big plans for Billy but Paul Campbell was getting offers for major acting roles. Paul seemed sad about he way Billy made his exit. As for Dana Delaney, she made this appearance as a favor to one of the Executive Producers with whom she was close friends.

Off topic I haven't watched the reaction yet but awesome picture at the top. Kat as Cat and Paula as Holoship Hologram Rimmer. Really cool. Just noticed it now. Hope it wasn't changed a long time ago and I was oblivious to it. Lol. Gals From The Dwarf. Now back to BSG. 👍👍

So next episode is imo the worst episode of the season. I don't want to go into spoilers but let's just say it takes a real life, very contentious issue with strongly held views on both sides and managed to find a way to anger and upset nearly everyone regardless of their stance on that issue. I guess in an abstract way that's impressive but it makes for gruelling watching and as much as I love these reactions I might have to nope out of that episode reaction. However the episode after that is one of my favourites in the entire series and the season has a great ending.

Rewatching this episode has really dug up some awful memories for me. I've been in Billy's position and let me tell you lucky people that have never been there; it's soul crushing, it's belittling, it's humiliating. Not only is Lee utter scum for leading Dee on knowing full well that she and Billy are an item, Dee is little better for allowing it, or at least breaking it off with Billy. We've all seen that Lee is relationship poison, but Sweet Dee drinking from that cup? Oh Duella, you're really living up to your first name.
And poor Billy, finally finding his voice as his own man, and it leads to his death; one that hits Roslyn hard as she's treated him like a son. In reality Paul Campbell was at a point in his career where it was starting to take off, and by Season 2 he was facing scheduling conflicts with other shows. Because of this, it was agreed that his character was to be killed off.
It's an irony that Ellen, Lady McTigh, is the one person who is - sorta - the benign party in this philanderous abyss, purely because well, no-ones surprised that she would jump Lee given the chance and that her recognition of Starbuck leading to the firefight isn't malicious. Yeah, I just defended Ellen. Fracking sue me.
Poor Starbuck; Ron Moore decides to add another string to her torture harp; she's rapidly becoming a jinx. Now he piles on the guilt of her almost killing Apollo? That's some Uriel-esque shit right there
But the one question that wasn't answered in this episode - who leaked the info?
