To quote the Spock meme I use as a birthday greeting on Facebook, " You have successfully completed a transit around your local star, Commendable "!

Because they didn't know that
"They call her and Secret, Agent Secret!
And I like my beverages shaken
Think my job is easy?
Well then you would be mistaken...
I'll go anywhere around the ship and sneak in undetected
There's one thing you can expect from me and that's the unexpected!
"Cause I'm an interdimensional Super Spy
Super spy!
Super spy!
Evil" met it's match
I'll tell you why, I'm an interdimensional Super Spy!
Super Spy!
The Backyardagains just popped into my head while you guys were talking and I couldn't help myself! sorry if you catch the earworm!

IDEA: Between LD seasons watch a couple cherry picked eps of Star Trek: The Animated Series the way you did with TNG/TOS.

I completely lost track of my age after 30. like gun to my head I do not know my age. I want to say 36 but also that sounds so dang old.
I DID THE MATH: I will be 36 in a few months.

I love Dr. T'Ana. How can anybody not like a foul mouthed Cat Doctor. Other people have commented her race is from The Animated Series. I guess they had them in live action a cat stripper attacks Kirk in Star Trek 5. Great seeing the Mugatos in Star Trek again. Wanted to see how you would react to the sex scene. Lol.

I don't remember if "Arena" was one of the TOS episodes you watched, but the "projector" that Boimler and Rutherford use to present their financial analysis to the Ferengi looks a lot like the makeshift bamboo cannon Kirk builds in that episode... even the Ferengi think it's a weapon until they launch into their analysis. The "power of math" line might or might not be a reference to a character saying something very similar in season 2 of Discovery. Sooo many references, so little time XD

Mugatos are from the TOS episode "A Private Little War." In the script, they were called Gumatos, but DeForest Kelly (Dr. McCoy) couldn't say the name right, so they were changed to Mugatos. However, he and Shatner pronounced it as "Mugatu" throughout the episode. Hence, the recurring joke LD did here about the species' name having multiple spellings and pronunciations.
The crewmember Paula compares to a werewolf is actually a Kzinti, a cat-like race Larry Niven created for his Known Space universe, of which his well-known novel Ringworld is a part. Kzinti also exist as a part of the Star Trek universe because Niven adapted one of his own stories for the TAS episode "The Slaver Weapon."
Speaking of cat-like races, I'm positive Dr. T'Ana's inclusion in the show was a nod to TAS, which also had a Caitian, Lt. M'ress, as a member of the crew, but I suppose it's possible Red Dwarf provided some inspiration.

The Catians (because of course that's what you name a race of cat looking aliens) first appeared in TAS, but I think the only cat-like behavior we got was a female officer's somewhat suggestive purring (because of course …). I like that Lower Decks is fully embracing T'Ana being a human-shaped cat.
