The Puritans are coming.

Gumroad got hit. Steam got hit. Itch got hit. It's prudent to assume that Patreon is in the firing line, too.
Payment processors are going after everyone who dances on what they perceive as the wrong side of their line, and I quite clearly put the wrong shaped lines down on a page.
I'll obviously keep drawing 'till the bitter end, because I'm a stubborn, belligerent little sh*t, so for now things will carry on as normal, but the changes over at Itch happened in a snap and with no warning. That might happen here. Be sure to save all the content you've very kindly supported the creation of over the years.
The worst might not come to pass, but there's nothing wrong with a little healthy paranoia.

Anyway; back to drawing teh boobies.....

The Puritans are coming.

It always surprises me that no one has thought to capitalize on this by creating a paypal clone....call it 'Pornpay' or something and cater to that huge portion of the internet concerned with porn. Base it out of some country that is beyond the reach of these people and rake in the money a few pennies at a time. It would have to be something done without shareholders and in the hands of a few who could not be influenced or bought out.

There's a way to fight: Payent processors are bending over for the Puritans because of 'reputational risk', but there's more than one kind of bad reputation.. 'cabal of point-one-percenters setting themselves up as censors with more power than first world governments' is also a bad look. Annoying a population of artists capable of generating viral memes about 'cabal of point-one-percenters ...' is another risk. Given the choice between angry Karens and regulators saying, "apparently we can't trust you to make that kind of decision," I'm pretty sure the payment processors fear the second one more. Don't frame it as what they might do. Frame it as what they've already done.
