Sometimes (ie. most of the time) I just seem to like how the sketches turn out better.

Maybe I should be doing comics in the "Doves" style. Clean Pencils with flat colors with rough shades and highlighting. I feel I can't get enough of the mood I'm trying to capture with just pencils but the colors and shades seem to be taking away from the organic look that I seem to do well.

The expressions here look really good but they get really watered down when I go to ink/color/shade.

I'm not sure if Little Lorna would look that good as a rougher drawn comic. After I'm done this, maybe I'll work on a few pages of Shallow and see if Pencils with shades/highlights will work (that's my sandbox comic).
