do you find my content to be lacking?
Added 2021-10-18 22:45:22 +0000 UTCdo you find my content to be lacking?
i know you guys would cheer me up and say there's nothing wrong with it
but let me give you some of my point of view first
kouhai tier gets all gag variations, there is no problem with this
senpai tier gets undergarment and also with more revealing of their body
and then there's sensei tier where my concern is
yes, you get to participate monthly poll, but not eveyone does that
and the worst part is not everyone can win from that
so i decided to hand over for my psd file instead
but then again this content is supposed to be DID theme, instead giving you my progression,
is that what you really want?
please dont suggest me a naked version, i dont wish to fall in that hole.. but who knows if times will change my mind
let me hear your opinions because i do wish to make my patreon worth your money
and also, i think i lost lot of patreon this month and it keep losing and losing, i got a feeling it's gonna be way worse too in the next month
i dont know what to tell you or where i did go wrong with it..

2021-10-20 09:53:40 +0000 UTCFirst off, I'll echo what most of commenters have stated and say that I enjoy your content and you're doing a great job. As for specifics, I like like the monthly polls idea. Even if it only a segment of your audience contributes, it still allows direct participation. If your workload allows it, you could always expand the polls to allow patrons to vote on a theme for the month. While everyone's said it already, sequential art or short comics are an excellent idea that you could incorporate into the highest tier. Maybe have short previews of the longer more complex pieces to encourage people to go up a tier. Depending on the reception that idea gets, you could expand from standalone sequences/comics to potentially going for something more akin to a series. As for the PSD files, those kind of confuse me. Is that so patrons can download and make their own edits? Or to show how the art is made? I think it's something that should be kept but I am curious about them.

2021-10-19 15:00:37 +0000 UTCI bet there's actual advice someone has but I'd say just don't beat yourself up over it. It seems like a lot of people have been reducing Patreon subscriptions because of work, school, money etc. This seems like the same type of stress YouTubers were having when they'd suddenly stop making progress in views and revenue. I still think the best advice is to have fun and dont ruin your enjoyment imo. Maybe if you want more variety you should develop some interactive exclusive content like other artists on this side of the community

2021-10-19 13:05:52 +0000 UTCI like your paintings very much and I think your work is worth the sopport. I was in Sanoai, I also like your varieties of underware. But personally, I am a lover of did scenes of girls in stockings, pantyhose or suspender. I hope that you can draw some content like that. It is just a suggestion of personal preference.

2021-10-19 09:58:48 +0000 UTCI feel like variety in the content would be nice. More sequences or sequels rather than a new one every time. I don't care that much about polls since my favorite rarely wins, and psd doesn't really add much for me, but stuff like comic pages or multiple part pictures appeal a lot. Before and afters.

2021-10-19 01:47:38 +0000 UTCSpeaking for myself at the Senpai tier, I very much enjoy your content as is, but I wouldn't mind seeing more experimental pieces every now and then. I can list out examples such as gag sequences, short comics, one page comic/scenario play, short fiction etc. I consider myself to be to have too niche of a preference for any character I suggest to win in a poll so polls are largely neither appealing nor unappealing for me. I would certainly appreciate for someone in the Sensei tier to weigh in, but my suggestion for potentially making sensei tier more appealing would be to go with short comics idea, making the comic page available exclusive to Sensei tier for a month before opening up to lesser tier.

2021-10-18 23:40:18 +0000 UTCOh, one thought for something that could definitely be improved even though it wasn't really what you were asking about - it'd be nice if you could combine all of your poll's reference images into one image, or at least name the downloadable files. One reason I often don't bother to vote is because I'm unfamiliar with the characters but also can't be bothered to download "poll 1.png" "poll 2.png" etc separately. ^^; This is how I present mine for the votes: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6106f9109x5d16x/charactervoteSep2021.jpg?dl=0 - something like that might help people get involved more.

2021-10-18 23:34:33 +0000 UTCAs I'm only in the Kouhai tier, I can't speak for the Senpais/Senseis. But I'll share a few thoughts anyway: I have similar concerns with my top tier - only a tiny portion (10% at best) of the people eligible to submit characters do so every month, possibily because they know their chance of winning is slim unless they submit a super popular character. And when the poll goes live, only 40%-50% of Patrons with voting rights vote on the poll. I've asked around and found a surprisingly large amount of Patrons don't really care too much about getting involved in those processes and just want to see the end results and your art. I'm actually in the same boat - I don't vote on your polls, nor any of the polls from other creators I'm subscribed to, even ones where I can submit characters. I'm not familiar with 90% of the characters you end up drawing, I just really like your style. I have a feeling there are plenty of other Patrons feeling the same way - we don't comment much, or leave likes, but as long as we stick around you must be doing something right. Of course, that leads into your next concern, of it seeming like you lost a lot of Patrons: it's definitely something to keep an eye on, but keep in mind that the massive drop at the start of every month is normal. Your Graphtreon chart https://graphtreon.com/creator/cailin020 has zigzags just like everyone else's, even the giants like Jam and Bagel who begin every month thinking they've just lost thousands of dollars in support. Granted, you did apparently have a very successful September, so the dip must have been especially painful for you this month, but on the bright side it looks like your 'floor' didn't get lower, so it doesn't seem like you're actually hemorrhaging supporters (though since your income is not publicly visible I may be wrong, only you can know if your earnings have been consistently lowering via the Payout History chart https://www.patreon.com/dashboard/payouts ). Also, when Patrons leave, have they been expressing dissatisfaction in their Exit Surveys? https://www.patreon.com/dashboard/exit-surveys Anyway, in short: Yeah, I can't really speak for the Sensei tier patrons here, and of course if you *can* find ways to add more value to your page you should absolutely try to, but at the same time, try not to stress out too much about this. I think it would be much more clear if everyone truly believed your content was lacking.

2021-10-18 23:25:47 +0000 UTCSo, something worth potentially considering is what sort of content has gotten you large upswings of patreon supporters. I don't know if the platform lets you see analytics of things like that, but it could be useful to know what brings in the supporters. For me personally, I enjoy sequential art a lot. As much as I enjoy DID content, I love DID when I get to see the process happening. Any art that has the girl before/during/after being trussed up is 11/10 for me. Not sure if that helps you out, just my perspective. Could be good bait to 'see the rest of the story on patreon'? And check out what other DID-creators do for inspiration! I only really know of lostonezero and heartgear, but I think the former is very successful, and the latter seems to have shifted almost entirely to patreon content -- and I imagine that's working for her. The polls never really bother me, but that's mostly because I like your OCs the most.

2021-10-18 23:04:34 +0000 UTCI think what you're doing so far is fine. I feel like I'm getting my money's worth here, even though the characters I nominate never win. The PSD files are definitely worth it, as someone who is in the Sensei tier.
