Progress Update + Proofread Announcement

Heya~

Just a quick little update, this should be the last update before 0.4.

All in all, I've finished a large portion of the systems I've set out to include in 0.4. The development time ended up being longer than I would have liked. Unfortunately this was caused by some life circumstances outside of my control. I'd rather not bore you with the specifics so let's get on with the post.

Pictured above is a brand new minor character, which you'll be able to interract with (and maybe even more?) in the upcoming update.

Right now, all that's left for me to do is finalize few things I've still got open, and implement few Mariko scenes and related content + general bugcheck.

Also, I've got some news to share with ya'll. I've had a few folks reach out to me in regards to getting involved with the game, however one person stood out and delivered a fully proofread copy of all the content available in 0.3b. First of, I'd like to publicly thank him for that! Thank you volf3n, you're absolutely incredible!

Quick little Q&A

What does this mean?

This means that after 0.4's release, I'll be releasing either a mini-update with all the proofread content added, or I will release it as a part of the next larger update (0.5).

However, if you were looking for an excuse to play through the game with a different class, this will be the perfect opportunity!

Does this mean you're no longer the writer?

No. Not at all. I still write everything solo. I'm not just going to copy over the proofread script either. I'll be going through every line of the dialogue to make sure it's consistent with the plot and the world.

Is everything going to change?

Yes and no. Obviously the entire story remains the same. There are no changes to the overall plot. However, a lot of the dialogue will be better and improved with a better flow, organic progression and general touch ups. Overall, it'll be a change for the better.

Does this mean all text in the game will now be treated as 'unseen' by Ren'Py?

Yes. Ren'Py will think you haven't seen any of the dialogue once the proofread changes get added.

I'm not sold yet, what else can the proofread script do for me?

Splendid, I'm just going to paraphrase from the changelog volf3n provided to me;

"sex scenes are now, on average, 27% more sexual and arousing (source: my neighbours [they don't know yet :>])"
