Maybe not a lot of people know this, but there are only four kinds of precious gems in our world: Diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Ever since when the diamond authority was revealed, gem nerds waited with baited breath to see who Emerald might be. So when she shows up just for this little side-adventure that gets pretty funny. Meanwhile, space pirate captain Lars is so good. His problem was always that he was careless - doing only the bare minimum at his job, expecting his good friend Sadie to do his share of cleaning and everything else unless and until she'd get worked up enough to yell at him, just as a basic example. Just never bothering to engage with people by the rules of polite society. And never aspiring to more than being seen as an effortlessly cool person by the "cool kids". But it turns out all he needed was a whole group of people depending on him for their lives every moment of every day!
