RTD's actually said that the MCU on his new Who run is that it convinced him audiences *can* invest in a not-quite-our world where aliens and superheroes running about is an everyday thing. So there's a massive building with UNIT written on the side, the public knows they're the defenders of the Earth against alien invasions etc. Though the specials don't really show us enough people outside the bubble to really hit that home.

2023-12-15 23:17:01 +0000 UTCBeing neurodivergent myself, I always thought that Steven, Karen and Matt are as well. interesting that both Eleven and Twelve have some characteristic traits written in that I recognize. NTs would perceive arrogance when they are basically being misdirected by misunderstanding those traits.

2023-12-12 14:28:21 +0000 UTCBad Wolf Studios also is where 'His Dark Materials' is filmed, so they had access to some really good puppeteers from that show (for things like the daemons). Also, it's interesting how people come off so differently to people. I personally find RTD to be insufferable in interviews, tbh. He's quite arrogant, which personally puts me off. But obviously, YMMV. (I know people often thought/think the same thing of Moffat in interviews, but to me he always just seemed more socially awkward and neurodivergent than arrogant -- which is like me, so I liked him more?)
