Amethyst gets "close" to giving an important lesson of self defense. Let me put this plainly, as a public service. Winning a fight isn't about being bigger or stronger or faster or having bigger reach than the other person. It's not about being more morally correct or having the right training or the right genes. (Yes, actually, having more training than the other person would matter in the very few cases where you would have to fight a trained fighter, but real life is actually not an anime.) The one thing you need to win in a fight is: to be more prepared than your opponent to permanently destroy their body. If you put your thumbs into their eyes before they are ready to fight for real, you win. Self defense, in basically any realistic situation where you will need to defend yourself, is more about mental preparedness than anything else. I think this is something everyone, and especially young women, should learn.
