I don't think that's one's up yet. It's the 14th episode of the season.

Neil McRae

That reaction was posted in error. It will be re-posted when it is normally scheduled to be seen.

I missed watching Sub Rosa and now it is no longer available to view it. Has it been removed? Will it be reinstated?

PICKLE JUICE FOR THE WIN - Kat

Time Lord

Oh I am an absolute SUCKER for time travel and alternate universe shenanigans!! - Kat

Time Lord

Everything, Everywhere, All at Once for the WIN

Time Lord

Well we thank you for being here!!

Time Lord

I *absolutely* missed it, omg lol

Time Lord

Also, I think Kat missed Wil Wheaton's credit at the beginning of the show-- that would have given it away. XD

MARK F JENKINS

One of my favorites as well. At the time it originally broadcast, I was fine with the idea of Troi-Worf... I hadn't picked up on the hints that the writers had dropped earlier but Michael Dorn and Marina Sirtis are believable. The bits relating to Picard and the Borg were chilling, and I liked the re-use of uniforms and bridge set pieces from "Future Imperfect."

MARK F JENKINS

Totaly agreed!

Red Claw

I just love parallel Universe stuff. I love this episode.

Red Claw

This is one of my favorite episodes. Always makes me want a slice of cake.

chris

LOL. I immediately thought of the Simpsons when Kat brought up the pickle juice. Kat was so joyful when Wesley appeared. https://youtu.be/Hb46bQp-5Jg

Matthew Zeidman

Fantastic episode, one of the best not just in season 7 but the whole series. I know parallel universes were around well before this in other fiction but as a kid this was the first time I was introduced to it and I absolutely loved it. And I too think the Worf / Troi relationship was developed extremely well over the course of the show.

Jay S

Troi + Riker and Worf + [spoiler] (for those that know, know)

David Brown

HA! The absolute best-est Twilight Zone episode. I just posted about it on my FB. Ive loved it...forever

Sal Sanchez

I always liked this episode. I love it even more now that its existence means I can shunt all the new crappy shows I don't like and no longer have a desire to watch off into their own parallel, awfuller universes. Also a lovely episode for a game of "Spot the Changes" I like Data's picture of the Klingon ship much more than the battle one. Also think I understand Paula's opinion on certain things more now, lol.

Nolan

For some reason I think they were going go try to get Pulaski back but couldn't do it...I could be imagining that. Also, pickle juice has been used to resolve cramps for NFL teams, so it's legit

Chris Lane- Venturi 3D

Oh, so many things that could be said, that should be said, but for sake of spoilers will NOT be said...

Alexander Caldwell

Heck yeah! Easily one of my favourite episodes. (Also pickle juice is great.)

Makhiel

This is one of my favorite episodes. I'm a sucker for time travel and alternate universe stories. Was worried when Paula said she would say how she felt about it at the end, but was happy to hear that you both loved it.

Anthony MacEwan

This is definitely one of my top ten favourite TNG episodes overall. As parallel shifts had begun starting with the cake it makes you wonder if when he asked Troi to become the legal guardian of Alexander as he was already in an alternate universe if this message was conveyed to her in his own universe. Did everyone notice Data and the universe where he had bright blue eyes instead of his normal yellow android eyes? You can see his (possibly Brent's own eyes with no contacts) eyes when the Engineering table has been moved next to the warp core and Deanna is called away. They remain blue until he activates Geordi's visor then they switch back to yellow. That was indeed a Cardassian officer on the Bridge. In that universe the Bajorans were agressive against the Federation and do not have the Bajoran Militia on DS9 or Ensign Ro etc on the Enterprise but Cardassians instead. There is a continuity issue with the Stardate 47391.2 when Worf at first can't find the shuttle craft log entry for that date but rather the same date stating he can't go. The date is after the tournament is over but here he says he can't go and asked his brother Kurn to go instead. The Stardate should've been a bit lesser number showing that it was prior to the tournament.

Brad Barter

Love this episode. Glad the Gals liked it too.

Stephen Kronfeld

The Worf Troi thing always felt odd to me, like the writers were like, "eh, it's the last season, why no through this at the wall and see what happens?"

Mike

I seem to remember something Worf once said about having to restrain himself too much with human women, "they are quite fragile". He said it, not me! (I think they gave him better quotes about relationships on DS9).

Mark Ten

MCU: (in Kevin Feige voice) “The Multiverse Saga will be told through multiple phases of numerous movies, TV shows and other media with countless hours of film for many years to come. You’ll explore alternate histories, see old friends, see fights with doppelgängers. It’s a story that I’m not sure even we can contain. “ Star Trek TNG: “Okay, we need this in 42 minutes. … … … Minus our ginormous credits.”

fcast17

A top 10 episode for sure. The multiverse theory is an actual scientific theory (scientist do debate the validity though). Actually the origin of the idea goes back to the Greeks. Scifi has adopted the idea and used it many times over to great effect.

Pickupthepieces76

Its well known actors Marina Sirtis and Michael Dorn did not get along for a time. They did become close friends eventually and some thought the romantic pairing was revenge for their previous behavior. Story wise, Worf now knows he and Deanna are very compatible. Where that leads, time will tell.

Mark Chrisco

He gave up Troi as his wife and higher rank for a first place battle trophy. Yep, that's Worf.

Mark Ten

Troi said they had a daughter named Shannara, so I wonder if the writer got that from the Shannara fantasy series by Terry Brooks (Sword of Shannara, Elfstones of Shannara, et al). They wanted to have the gang sing "Happy Birthday" at Worf's party but at the time some company claimed to own the rights to it and demanded a hefty sum to get permission to use it, so they settled for the Jolly Good Fellow song. Years later the "owner's" claim was found in court to be invalid and was based on false information and it was ruled that the "Happy Birthday" song was in the public domain and therefore free for anyone to use. Those false claimants must have been Ferengi.

Henchman Twenty1

Spoilers? 🤫

Joe Concepts

I never really believed the "romance" between Troi and Worf. I was so glad when he found his OTP on DS9

Terrell Kirkman

I love this episode, too. I think Troi and Worf are great together. I have more thoughts about the pairing, but it's hard to discuss without spoilers. I also really enjoy that you gals share that one of my favorite things about TNG is how when somebody starts having these sorts of weird, unverifiable experiences, the crew gives a real effort to try and figure out what's going on. Of course, they do raise the possibility that maybe it was a figment, or a misremembering, or whatever, because it's a responsible thing to do. But they don't then just ignore it. And, of course, they've seen so many weird things that it makes sense to investigate, but in other genre media, it can be such a trope to have someone who has those experiences be ignored or discounted and they just don't do that on this show.

R. Chang

Love this episode! I do like when they tease Worf/Deanna; as a couple, they make sense, but Will and Deanna is just perfect. Jonathan still calls her Imzadi on Twitter to this dsy!

Eric

This is Star Trek channeling "The Twilight Zone," and doing it very well— except the Twilight Zone would not have fixed everything by the end. (See for example the original TZ episode "And When The Sky Was Opened.")

Keith Goodnight

I also always enjoyed the alternate reality Treks. Looking back on it, you know at least one of those Enterprise crews had to have hot dog fingers, :-)

Bruce Bromley

By Kahless, you're right! I never noticed. This show still surprises. :)

Ian Murray

I like that in one quantum reality Data's eyes are blue.

Hampus Theander

Nope, that was a Cardassian on the bridge. :D

Chrissonator

I wish I had something new or original to say, but all I have is thanks. Thanks for sharing this journey with us.
