Let the catch-up binge begin!

Matthew Zeidman

The mythical first session was actually offered as a birthday gift for Liam O'Brien (voice of Vax'ildan) by Matt Mercer, as they had become friends while working on a video game project (Matt as an actor, Liam as the VO director). Liam and Sam did have a podcast where they would do new fun things together and then talk about it...Sam had never played D&D before (Liam had not played since he was a teen) so Liam roped Sam into it, as well as some of their other voiceover friends (namely Taliesin, Laura, and Travis). Since Liam and Laura share the same birthday, they decided to make their characters twins.

Matthew A. LeBlanc

This is a great surprise. Just reacted to my favorite star trek episode and now jumping into this. I am also a big crit role fan.

Sorestlor

Not finished this yet but has finally made me actually watch Critical Role, so definitely left a positive impression so far! Was a bit surprised how bloody it was when I started it but having listened to so many of Matt's descriptions now during combats it totally tracks. Plus being able to see a properly imagined d&d show is worth having to squint through a couple of moments here and there! Really interested to see how the show compares to the episodes of the actual game when I get to them (excluding the prequel).

Oliver Sharp

It certainly is on the list to watch :-)

Malcolm Wolf

I can't wait until you watch a VERY particular episode. I won't say much, but expect "Stan is Not He Seems" vibes. All I will say.

Kris

I believe they may have watched ahead but even if not I imagine Paula's cotton on to it given she saw who Grey Griffin is playing.

BrightHeart

yall should watch Invincible

Terry Carr

Well that was different. I know nothing about D&D, so it should be interesting.

Bob Hughes

I've watched the first few episodes. I don't really follow critical role but haven't played it in almost 20 years. Another funny show you gals might enjoy is HarmonQuest, not to react but in general it's kinda along the same lines as Vox Machina but way less fleshed out.

DarkAshtar

So happy that you’re a) reacting to this and b) enjoying it! More casting trivia - the children in the village were voiced by Sam Riegel’s son and Liam O’Brien’s daughter.

Ben King

You may know this by now, but the first 2 episodes are prequel to the first campaign, but episodes 3-12 adapt a specific arc from campaign 1!

Tmatts

YESS you guys are really picking good shows

Trish

Have been looking forward to this!
