This show is so good at illustrating the shades of gray in the world and how different people respond to the negative aspects. The Flag Smashers have a good point, during the 5 years after Thanos the world became a smaller place in essence. There were homes and jobs for everyone. After the blip and the return, people were again marginalised and ignored. Karlie takes her fight too far. As Mikaela said, John Walker was probably a good man but all the trauma of war (which he hinted at in this episode) has made him unbalanced. Taking the super serum took that imbalance and tipped it too far in the wrong direction. I feel like that's a running Marvel theme. Wanda was wrong to basically imprison an entire town but you can't forget the depth of her grief. Tony wants to protect his world and unleashes Ultron. In the bigger picture, the Avengers just wanted to set their world right and in the process cause even more mayhem by causing the displacement of millions. And on and on.

What gets me the most about that brutal murder with the shield at the end, is earlier in the episode, you notice on rewatch that that was the same guy who said he'd idolized Captain America as a kid. 😭
