This is honestly my favourite 2 partner of this series. The suspense of the just builds and builds. It's invasion of the body snatchers mixed with modern issues of terrorism and refugees. Jenna Coleman's acting is phenomenal the reveal of Bonnie is so good. And I love the pay off in part 2. Cannot wait til next week.

2021-11-06 14:16:30 +0000 UTCFunny enough I knew Truth or Consequences was a real town in New Mexico because in the late 90's I was a wrestling fan and the legendary hardcore wrestler Mick Foley used Truth or Consequences as his hometown when he wrestled as Cactus Jack because it sounds cool. He mentioned it in his autobiography lol.

2021-11-04 21:07:49 +0000 UTCI don't think i even noticed the ISIS parallels in my first watch. i just thought it was doctor who's spin on invasion of the body snatchers. as for why the Zygons would imitate ISIS, you need to remember that this faction is mainly composed of children who were born and raised on earth, ISIS is probably the only example of resistance they were exposed to

2021-11-04 17:51:25 +0000 UTCOh dear, this one is....odd. And cringey in the extreme, with the ham-fisted "oh-so-subtle" ISIS-like flags being used by the Zygons. Just....why? JFC, Moffat! Twelve is still amazing in this two-parter, but good lord everything else is embarrassing.
