Vash is a great character; an early example of someone who represents life outside of Starfleet or the random "alien of the week". This type of character is explored even more on Deep Space Nine (a show I dearly hope you ladies plan to watch in the future).

Looking forward to the rest of the season - several more great episodes coming up! For some reason, I got mentally transported back to the 90s watching this episode, and remembering what it was like watching Star Trek back then. Such a fun time of life. Miss it, but at least we get to "relive" it sort of with you both.

I cannot stand Ferengi in TNG, and I give full marks to Armin Shimerman and Max Grodenchik along with Aron Eisenberg for giving them depth as a species. *Side note: Did Katrina say she was a DBZ fan ? Is there a place she has to discuss Dragonball? She has to introduce Paula to that in a new show going forward, I’d be all over that.

2021-03-09 21:50:20 +0000 UTCPicard and Vash, sleeveless, working hard shovlin' *BISEXUALITY ACTIVATE* *GENDER CONFUSION ACTIVATE* I am also a hardcore Crusher/Picard shipper but I adore Vash. They did such a great job writing and casting for a character that you can believe would be genuinely appealing to a guy like Jean-Luc. She's got a great Indiana Jones / Carmen Sandiego energy that is the perfect counter to Picard's stoic authority. The conversation leading up to that first kiss in the cave has got to be the horniest ninety seconds in all of Star Trek. Even more than Enterprise's gratuitous oil massage "decontamination" scenes. I also forgot how funny this episode is. Riker just barreling headlong through his Risa pitch immediately after being scolded for it kills me.

My own search has led me to prefer Brown Cow blueberry. I'll add Noosa to my list to try. As always, I'm enjoying the reactions. Especially these last two. Looking forward to your reaction to my favorite TNG episode, when you get to it.
