2020-12-28 06:19:24 +0000 UTCBasically-Not-A-Spoiler: River knowing his name is never explained, it's a rather large plothole and the firmest evidence around that what people who love Moffat significantly more than me say about him really having everything planned out from the start rather than throwing around vague phrases and plothooks then finding ways to pull shit together at the last second to make them kind of work is 100% bullshit. He wrote by the seat of his pants, to the detriment of the show.

They would both rather die than change any of the time they shared together. That's love.

Will keep it vague as possible to avoid spoilers, but season 7 provides a good opportunity to visit some old school stuff, that goes beyond the movie and day of the doctor, depending on how much time they have. The tardis spoiler channel in discord goes into it a bit more if you want more detail.
