I just keep thinking that it was amazing to see tv shows that were allowed to have a mid first season and not be forced to be a banger from jump. I still think DS9’s first season was better than TNG.

2025-08-28 19:34:40 +0000 UTCWhile Duet and Necessary Evil are standout episodes, they also feel very much of their respective seasons. Neither makes it into my own top 10 for DS9. I know I'm in a minority opinion with Duet, but the show simply doesn't have its identity and direction until season 3. And no more will I even imply.
