By the way, there really was a big stucco elephant structure in the back of the actual Moulin Rouge back then.

2025-08-13 02:52:54 +0000 UTCI can't imagine that this movie would have the same effect on a younger audience, such as yourselves, as it did in 2001. The audiences who saw it back then grew up on MTV and would have been familiar with all the songs in it from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, which I am sure you two are not that familiar with. To me, when I saw it in the early 2000s, I was very entertained with how they repurposed all this familiar music.

2025-08-13 02:16:07 +0000 UTCThe musical I recommend for non-musical fans is West Side Story 1961 . Forgetting it has some of the best songs and dancing of any musical ever, its non stop story. I agree with Josh, you can't have relentless cutting during dancing, Just keep the camera still and let me see the feet without any assistance from you.

2025-08-11 08:05:56 +0000 UTCI suspect that part of the reason Robin Curtis' Vulcan renegade wasn't written to be Saavik may have been because of developments to that character in the novels. While the shows were never beholden to the books, it would have been a pretty sharp deviation to have her show up as an isolationist extremist.
