I don't think people for decades gave Nimoy enough credit as an actor. He had to play a guy with emotions every week while doing his best to not show emotion, but it's always there from exasperation to an urge to throw a zinger McCoy's way, the way he was really uncomfortable with his father and how he really didn't want his mother to hate him, and so on. We know he must be good because no actor since him and ML have gotten vulcans right. They all talked like robots, but Vulcans are not robots at all. It's no accident Spock could be a candidate for the pop culture Mt Rushmore, and is Trek's mascot and icon the way Mickey is for Disney. BS did a great job, but LN had the harder role I think clearly.
