Always an episode that I remember, but its definitely moved down to a A from what would have bene a S some 20+ years ago. I think for me the problems arise from the almost complete lack of actual problem solving in the episode. As an exercise of creating a tv show - costume, acting, etc. - it is excellent. Seeing night court brent spiner is always a treat. But it is a virtually risk-less story. Even with the abilities of an android, and the safety systems disabled, i was never in fear for worf - even he barely noticed when he got shot. I guess there was some fear towards alexander, but that's about it. Worf's smile at the end though...

2025-05-08 04:36:41 +0000 UTCIt’s a B for me. Solid holodeck hijinks episode and some nice Worf/Deanna/Alexander moments. Brent Spiner gets to have fun. It’s a perfectly nice episode but it also doesn’t really jump out at me as particularly memorable.

This episode doesn't have the greatest of reputations, and I certainly used to not like it, now I'd consider it a "guilty pleasure," and "better than I thought." It's totally fluff, but enjoyable fluff is just as valuable as "deep, traumatic, emotional" episodes.

2025-05-07 17:49:26 +0000 UTCIt is a B episode that I enjoyed so much it gets an upgrade to A. Brent Spinner episodes are almost A by default. I could even see a justification of "S" but I assume that is just loving watching him Shine. But I Was a fan since his days as a recurring character on Night Court.
