DS9 teasers were made by Steve who helps us with graphics and what not. I have no idea what the asteroid means.

Did you see a bit of the DS9 intro since you know about the asteroid?

That's assuming the plan works. The plan doesn't really sound like something that would work.

I wonder if this has been brought up, but Jonathan Dell' Arco, Hugh's actor, had just suffered the loss of his boyfriend (iirc) when auditioning for the part. His very effective, dispassionate, cold acting was a result of what he was going through, similar to the old man in The Survivors who had lost his IRL wife.

A poster child episode for 'this is how good Star Trek can be'. How wonderful that so many such episodes exist, by the way. Including many yet to come.

This one strikes a wonderful debate of the age old needs of the many verses the needs of the one.
Take out all the borge by using one or save one borge at the expense of everyone else in the galaxy... Great episode, great reaction and discussion. S all the way.

The "12 Angry Men" of TNG - one member of the crew doesn't agree to using Hugh to destroy the Borg, and one by one the rest of the gang are convinced.

Great writing, great performances, and they somehow managed to make the Borg even more of a nightmare (appreciative). An all-time fave.

Yeah, but what if the imaginary friend from the last episode had been a Borg?

First of all, Geordi is my favorite character and its great to see him get a central role here. But truly, this is just a great ensemble episode. Geordi, Crusher, Picard, Guinan, and the guest star Hugh, just so many great performances, its just wow.

I remember the first time I saw this, when Picard flips into Locutus mode I thought “Oh hell, he’s been factory reset!”
Fortunately the writers knew what they were doing and knocked it out of the park.

I just want you all to know that if I were in charge of the Enterprise, Hugh would be toast, and the entire Borg collective would be neutralized..... saving trillions more people from being turned into Borg, including those on your planet.
You're welcome.
(And no, that doesn’t make me as bad as the Borg. Self-defense isn’t murder.)
