2025-03-08 04:33:10 +0000 UTCEasily one of my favorites and in the top 10 if not higher. It is very well done the way they repeat the same thing over and over but keep it extremely engaging. You may already know this, but regarding the mention of Saavik, she was originally supposed to be the character in STVI but at "the last minute" it was decided that they didn't want to take a popular character and make her evil. Regarding this preceding Groundhog day, there is at least one other TNG episode and one very, very late DS9 episode which also essentially do the plot of an *extremely* popular movie that was universally praised for being totally innovative and never before done - and they did it 20 years earlier.
