2024-12-08 23:00:34 +0000 UTCGeorge Takei was the first Star Trek person that I ever got to meet or see in person in 1986 in a strip mall. Years later I found out that a later good friend of mine was there at the exact same event. A few years later I got to see or meet Majel Barrett, Marina Sirtis, and John de Lancie at two small conventions. I don't remember meeting or seeing any others. I remember that Majel Barrett had some photos of herself in the green Orion makeup as she was the guinea pig who got to test the makeup out for the very first pilot.

After meeting George Takei you really should watch his best performance ever in Star Trek New Voyages World Enough and Time, fan made but written by veteran Trek scriptwriters. I know you are signed up for Star Trek Continues but New Voyages preceded Continues by a decade and maybe cleared the path. This is one of their best and in addition to Takei they had one other amazing guest star for this episode.
