I think this was just meant to be a fun episode, like TOS's "The Trouble with Tribbles", so no real trying for the Emmy or anything.😊

Josh - could the phrase you're looking for describing the reason why you didn't have any major issues with this episode is "tolerance level"? You were hunting for it in the main reaction and here in the discussion. You and Alex have different tolerance levels for "family sitcom" episodes. Just a thought.

Small funny moments like grandiose Shakespeare then deadpan counting and how they set off to rescue them at warp 8 but to take her home warp 9

I think overall this episode shouldn't be taken too seriously. It wasn't life of death like other episodes are. Just missing then found, with some mild torture tossed in. This episode, for me anyway, is just comic relief before the season finale. Speaking of, next reaction and discussion should be fire and I'm sooo here for it. Thanks dudes. 🖖

I am assuming folding chairs were involved, maybe a flying elbow too?
