Sarek didn't even hate Sybok. Even with zero emotional control, his entire position on one of his sons was "indifferent!"

The Hannibal Lecter thing and the sharks vs electricution are strange points he is trying to make. Odd choices but not necessarily evidence of mental decline. The disastrous debate shows the difference between the two. While Trump lied throughout, he talked much more clearer and forcefully and snappier.
I am not doubting there could be some mental decline with Trump, after all he has confused Nancy Pelosi and Nikki Haley several times for example, just it isn't as severe and obvious as it is with Biden. The debate made that painfully clear.

To a lesser extent Trump? Hannibal Lecter would not agree.

The scene after the mind meld has got to be PStew’s best performance!

I looked at a preview online about a month ago. I thought the episode didn't show the identity of the ambassador until he beamed aboard. That would have been MUCH better -- at least for a reaction shot. (Darn)

I was thinking the same thing about Biden (and to a lesser extent Trump). This was 1990, so back then former President Ronald Reagan would have been the reference point since there were rumors about his mental decline toward the end of his second term (1985-89).

At the name drop of Sarek, I love how Josh's reaction is surprise-glee, and Alex's reaction is "WTF don't fuck with me like that"

I love the barbs between Geordy and Wesley. At least I don't have to find women on the holodeck

I love the part just before the bar fight. Who would challenge Worf's authority?

If I remember correctly, you guys were originally just going to react to TNG without first watching TOS.
Can you imagine how much you would've lost out on.... in this reaction alone. You'd see this guy who you were told was Spock's father....without seeing Sarek in Journey to Babel, and in the animated episode, and in the movies.... and you would not be invested AT ALL in what you just experienced in this TNG episode.
