From what I can tell, Hilda was originally a six-book series of graphic novels, starting with "The Midnight Giant" and ending with "The Mountain King" - so the first two seasons, essentially (though there were some additions). Luke Pearson (with others) later did nine "Netflix tie-in" books that covered some of the things we saw in the series not in the original books (like the Time Worm) and the third season. I'd like to read them but - surprisingly - I can't find them at any of the libraries I have cards for. I would have thought LAPL for sure...but no.

2025-07-30 19:08:20 +0000 UTCWhen this season premiered I remember hearing that it got cut short while it was still in production and that’s why the episodes are all over the place, hence why this season is shorter than the others (even though the last episode kinda counts as multiple episodes, I assume it was supposed to be the usual amount of episodes plus a longer one for the finale). Lots of loose ends and messy writing, but I personally can ignore all of that because I loved the finale hehe. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see what was really intended for this season tho.
