It is absolutely worth it to rewatch with this specific knowledge in mind. Literally every inconsistency with this particular backstory or just with Rose (info we get in "Lion 2", "Lion 3", "Lion 4", "An Indirect Kiss" "Bismuth", "Earthlings", "Back to the Moon", "Bubbled", "That Will Be All", "Storm in the Room", "The Trial", "Jungle Moon"...throughout the whole show all the way up to "Your Mother and Mine" where we get the story that Garnet knew because Rose told her a version of the story, not because Garnet was there...), every thought of Steven being crazy OP (healing/resurrection/sentient plant creation & astral projection/dreamwalking/mind switching/empathetic mind connection & shield/bubble & super strength & floating...the list goes on, and is a lot more than quartzes like Amethyst or Jasper have), every time Pearl talks about Rose with such wistfulness and every conversation we see between them (especially in episodes like "Rose's Scabbard", "Sworn to the Sword", "We Need to Talk", and "Mr. Greg")...it all falls into place with this revelation.
