Not the first escape room. In the 80's they were called "Free Candy Van"

Winrich Kolbe was my Film 101 professor in college, we did a lot of work with physical film and cutting together things in the traditional way (film negatives, tape, etc)

Five in a row, indeed! As much as I like Allegiance, it still only rates 11th out of 26 episodes for season 3. That is, really good but not quite top shelf - or top 10. I enjoy comparing your reactions and "rankings" to mine, and we *mostly* agree, but there are a few exceptions. Of the remaining 8 episodes coming up for the season, 4 of them are higher ranked than Allegiance, in fact 2 of them are in the top 5. By rank, you have yet to see the episodes that I rank #1, #3, #7, and #8. I can't wait to see your reactions to the #1 and #3 episodes, though I'm not going to tell you what they are.
But yes, the 5 most recent episodes are great and are ranked in my list, respectively, at #22 (I wasn't a big fan of A Matter of Perspective), #2, #5, #4, and #11.

Since the episode is about how authority functions, I think Frakes did a great job when Riker assumes command. He projects calm conviction and the bridge crew fall in line.

FYI fake picard was steering them into the pulsar as a test of authority. In case the first 13 times we said it weren't enough :)

I missed it when your theme song was first introduced. Did somebody compose it for you and send it to you?

Picard’s probably partaking in a nice brandy

Ah, they replaced Picard with a British version of himself.

I've been biting my tongue on a correction for a long time, And I actually thought that you all were going to address it and hilariously enough It's only half for the thing I was thinking of 😅 but I've heard his given name pronounced by another Star Trek writer as win-ric two hard consonants, "Rick" for short by Brandon Braga if I am remembering correctly. I must have missed this in the raw cut 🙃 when you called out his family name 🧐
