2025-05-22 16:29:21 +0000 UTCIn case you were curious, since the episode never really addresses it, the girl with the glasses is indeed moon girl. (the person named "lunella" the friend outside the room was trying to call at one point) IIRC she doesn't have moon powers, she's nicknamed moon girl because she's super smart and geeky which leads her to becoming a sort of tech focused super genius super hero similar to iron man or batman. She accidentally summons devil dinosaur early on, bonds with it, and it becomes a sort of side kick rather than going back to it's own time. Like spiderman and mrs marvel her stories are often her trying to balance being a student and her superhero life. The show is fairly self contained, but Moon Girl is a marvel character and in the comics often interacts with other new york/jersey area heroes like Miles Morales, Khamala Khan (mrs marvel) etc. The character who popped up for a second to explain the key the villain had is the beyonder, one of the major Marvel gods. I don't know a ton about her since I only ever read a handful of the comics and most of the first season of the show, but that's the gist. They are fun if you ever have the time, the rest of the show is excellent as well.
