These early TNG 1st season episodes have lots of writers and creators who are holdovers from TOS. They gradually go away as we move into further seasons

2023-10-24 13:07:10 +0000 UTCThey really wanted to lean into the "naked" in the title. It's funny how in the pilot reaction you said the sets were just a bit cheaper, most of the sets were reuses from the movies. Which happens a lot over the next four series.

2023-10-23 16:38:02 +0000 UTCNow you have the tough task of getting me to love Star Trek: the Next Generation after watching the action of Kirk and Spock. I have so many complaints about this show, but it also has its moments -- I guess. However, I think I grew frustrated and stopped watching most Star Trek after around 1991. I think the three biggest problems with this show are not enough beaming down to strange new worlds, too many actors to feature in EVERY episode, and too many dry episodes which feel like they were ripped from an astrophysics textbook instead of a reworked old Twilight Zone script or old classic sci-fi idea as the original writers had no idea what they were writing for exactly back in the 1960s just something more complex than 1950s alien monster movies.
